Notification email values - New line characters are ignored

KAPITYAN

Question

I have a problem with the text area field using Inline Add. Once we click add another new line character in the text area field, it seems that when we used it in email notification(both Details and Submission forms) it ignores the next line structure and just continue its character spacing.

Example:

It should be like this:
"This is a test item for new line character.
New sentence begin here start of the second line."

Not like this:
"This is a test item for new line character. New sentence begin here start of the second line"

It should break into another line.

Hi,

I think the issue is from the email format that you are using, may I ask if you are using the "HTML" email format not the "Plain Text"?

If you are using "HTML" email format then that would be the problem, as I tried it on my end it seems that it only works for "Plain Text" email format.  You may try to check in your end if that helps.

In addition to @NailDyanC's answer, it is expected HTML to ignore new line characters. If you are not using the Rich Text Editor in your HTML, you can add new lines by using the <br /> tag.

Notice the red boxes in the image below.

Hope this information helps.
