Set Check box with a formula?

I have a check box that I want to set based on a formula using a virtual field.  The virtual field is a text field, I want to set check box to true if value of the virtual field is true.  Any thoughts?

Hello Everyone, found out that when using a checkbox the statement is (Field = 0 or 1) when used in a formula and (Field = true) when used in a trigger/task. Hope this helps!
