Hi @JayDub,

You can create a application task where you can set the frequent to send of the email, however you will not be able to attached file, I suggest creating a report DataPage where the user can download the file.

For guidelines you can check these links:

Hi Jay:

We do this quite a lot. For example, in one case we need to create a PDF Work Order and email to the fulfillment company, for each order that is ready to go.  The fulfillment company does not have an API Set, so we need to email the PDFs.

Once a day, we look at all the orders in Caspio flagged as "Ready", then we build a fairly graphically-rich Order PDF for each Order and email the Order PDF - one email per Order.

We run daily task in AWS, and pick up the Order Details using Caspio APIs.  Then we email using AWS Simple Email System.  The AWS cost is trivial.  You must have a Grow Account to get the Caspio API capability.  We are happy to share the code

Thanks @Talbot. I will keep your solution in mind and I appreciate your offer to share the code. We are trying to generate a course completion certificate for students that have attended a course. I think, for now, we may employ a simpler solution to just email them a link to the DataPage report that generates the certificate and allow them to download it as a PDF from there. If that doesn't work, I may be back in touch. Thanks everyone!

Hi everyone! Just an update: Caspio has finally released a feature to show document generation, initially supporting custom PDF templates. You can upload your own fillable PDF file and map each field to a Caspio table.

It is available in R30 version: https://howto.caspio.com/release-notes/caspio-30-0/
