Create Customized Report (Export To Word Or Pdf)

Celerity

Question

Is it possible to generate customized reports similar to that of Ms-Access?

I know we can export as XLS, Access, CSV or XML but how do I create a tabular or a stacked report which I can print to paper? Is there a tool in Caspio where I can create a layout similar to a spreadsheet with labels across the top and data in columns below the labels (Tabular) or a layout similar to paper form with labels to the left of each field (Stacked)?

I'd like to be able to print it so export to MS-Word or PDF will be great.

Thanks!

You can create a Report DataPage. Caspio has different Report formats including Tabular, List, and Gallery. See instruction at http://howto.caspio.com/datapages/creating-datapages/creating-a-search-and-report-datapage/. Then if you need to export the report in PDF, you can request Caspio PS for a custom development. See info at http://www.caspio.com/extend/platform-extensions/pdf-reports.aspx

Cheers,

Barbara

Hi @Celerity,

There's a new feature in Caspio which you can find here: https://howto.caspio.com/release-notes/caspio-bridge-13-0/

This release includes a new feature of PDF Download option that allows you to download your displayed reports as a PDF File. You can also customize your PDF display settings such as header or footer, margins, page orientation, and page break.

However, this feature is available in Performance and higher plans and can be an add-on to Professional plans.

Check this webinar for more information: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_s-I_SPzPJ8

I hope this helps!

Hi everyone! Just an update: Caspio has finally released a feature to show document generation, initially supporting custom PDF templates. You can upload your own fillable PDF file and map each field to a Caspio table.

It is available in R30 version: https://howto.caspio.com/release-notes/caspio-30-0/
