Missing Required Field Error (Urgent)

I keep getting a "missing required field" error when I try and finish or preview the app. It looks like all elements are working and I can't figure out what this missing required field might be. Any ideas?

It is strange.

 

It seems, you can "repair" the problem:

1) Open Configure Search Form step.

2) Copy the text from your HTML block.

3) Create a new HTML block.

4) Paste the copied text to this new HTML block.

5) Delete the old HTML block.

If you have more than one HTML block, repeat steps 2-5 for all blocks.

 

Now a DataPage works correctly.

Do you create or edit the DataPage?

Which type of a DataPage do you use?

Do you use any Rules?

Can you post the link to the deployed DataPage, if it is created already?

1) I edited the report datapage.

2) I do not use any rules.

3) The site is not yet ready to go live.

 

I think - but am not sure - the problem could be with the logic in my Configure Search Fields. However, even when I reset the logic it won't let me finish. All I've done with the logic is change it from "or" to "and" between four search options: dropdown, listbox, and two text fields.

Maybe, there are some specific settings on your DataPage.

 

Can you export the DataPage and send me the file?

Or can you create and send me screenshots of settings of your fields?

Please open Support ticket at https://support.caspio.com/ and provide steps to replicate the issue and exported DataPage.  One of the Caspio support representatives will be able to assist you.

You must use Tools -> Custom Export, select the DataPage in question and choose DataPage & dependencies to download the Tables as well.

I'm having the same problem on every datapage I try to edit.  Can you explain more about the fix you proposed and why the problem exists and why the fix works?  This error just started popping up this week.

As far as I know, the reason of this issue was fixed.

 

The same problem may appear, if you change the DataSource/DataSources of your DataPages.

 

Did you change tables or import any data?

No, I didn't change the datasource.  I might have previously added some fields to tables, or deleted some.  Didn't import any data.

I have been able to make minor changes to my datapage designs, but when I get into doing much that's significant (like changing a text field to a dropdown menu) I get these errors.  This is happening in two different datapages, that use completely different tables.

10/15/2021 I encountered this issue today while I was working on my data page. I realized that I had not made a table column as a formula.  I opened the table in another browsers and made the change and then saved the table.  Then tried to preview and finish my data page both options gave the error and could not save.  I went back to the table and change the column back to text and saved the table.  I was then able to finish and save the data page.  Then I went back and updated the table and saved, and was then able to make additional edits to the data page.

Hello! I recently encountered this error on my DataPage and reached out to their support for assistance. As per them, we just need to reset the logic in our search form as there might be an empty field block causing the error. It resolved the issue when upon trying it.

Sorry for maybe reopening something old but I found a thing.I have both date field  as "NOT allow blank value" and "Unique" and still have this error, the thing I don't get is why it's a possibility if not going to work no matter what.
