report page default load results

When loading my report page it displays all the results from the blank fields by default.

i'd like to make it load today's date results by default. i'd also like to know how to turn off the default results if nothing is entered into the search.

If you want to have the Date field set as today's date, you can do so, by enabling "Onload Parameter" and choose System Parameter for TimeStamp.

Just like this one. 

Set the form element to Text Field. Although it will display a Date with Time, if you set the Precision to "Date" it will disregard the Time.

 Just to add up to the previous comment, to turn off the default results if nothing is entered into the search you can set your report DataPage to 'Display search form and results on separate screens'

By setting it up this way, it will not display any results until the user searched for something. For more details about this, you can check this article
