new record in another table

I need to add a new record to a table when a user clicks a checkbox on a DataPage. What is the best way to do this? A table trigger does not seem to fit this use case because it's only when a box is checked in one table that I need the record added to another table, and only if it's a new click and the record doesn't already exist in the second table.

Hi Sam,

It seems that it is possible using a auto-submit/ auto-update. Once the user click check on the Yes/No field or checkbox then it will automatically submit or update a record on the other table.

Hi @Sam23, as I've checked, this is possible via Triggered Action.

If the two conditions are met, checked checkbox and the record does not exist in the second table using the ID field, it will automatically add the data to the second table.

You may also try using a 'Not Exist' operator instead of 'Not In'. In my experience, it works better when a lot of records involved.
