I have a problem enabling edit records in a datapage

taylorswiftlover

Question

So I'm currently using a view as a source for my reports data page, and I have already set a specific table in one of my tables to be editable in View. Then, I created a data page and I have enabled the inline edit already. But the problem is, I still cannot modify the specific element that I want. Any information on this? thanks.

Hi @jonaslovescaspio,

I had the same issue as  yours from my past projects. Make sure to enable one of the Edit Records from the Results Page Editing Options of that Datapage. And then, go to the Configure Results Page field of the same DataPage and select the element that you want to become editable. There should be an additional tab named Editing. Finally, from the Grid and Inline Edit Options, mark the Allow field to be editable as checked.

I hope this one helps.

Are you sure the field you are trying to edit is on the correct table that you deemed editable?

One thing I dislike about caspio is exactly this. Views are tricky to edit due to the fact you can only edit one table. Could you give us screenshots or something to see your example?

I think this is one of Caspio's security feature to limit the editing of data into different tables and monitor the specific files  modification. Anyways, I am able to edit my records from the previous reply.
